I don't regret the decision to homeschool...

but there are days where I definitely require an extra dosage of caffeine.

If you think working while juggling homeschooling with three children is difficult, then you are absolutely right.  But it is not impossible.  After completing one full year of homeschool, we've finally got the hang of things. We attended a hybrid school where half of the week is distant learning on zoom, and the other half with mom.  I do not love everything about our school, but I do know I wouldn't be successful if it wasn't for their help as well.

Here's what worked for us:

• I teach the same subject to all three of my kids, but at their grade level and level of of comprehension.

• Each kids get allocated mom time for extra help. For instance, my daughter needs extra help with math, so we make sure each week, to dig out at least 30 minutes to review the challenging topics.  

• My husband is in charge of grades, and I am in charge of teaching.

Here's what didn't work for us:

• Having all three kids in the same room.  It is distracting for me and for them.  We learned each kid needed their personal school and quiet space. This is challenging as we did not have a big space. So we got room divider, head sets, and spaced everyone out.

• Trying to cook a hot meal while they're in zoom.  It's loud and distracting.  So I usually had to prep meal or order out.
